クロエリヒタキ（スズメ目カササギヒタキ科）Black-naped Monarch

学名：Hypothymis azurea 撮影日：2012年1月22日 撮影地：台北植物園

薄暗くなった公園で、見たこともない目立つ藍色の鳥が一瞬近くの木に梢にとまりました。クロエリヒタキのオスです。沖縄諸島でも観察記録があるようですが、ほぼ台湾の固有種と呼んでもよい野鳥です。頸周りと頭頂部に黒く斑が入りますが、この撮影では頭頂部は捕えきれていません。もう少し鮮明な撮影ができる機会を待ちます。

日本や英国がそうであるように、島国の台湾には、そこにしか生息しない固有種が多く生息します。是非台湾の固有種を更に見てみたいと思わせたクロエリヒタキでした。

Firstly observed blue-colored bird stopped at the branch for a moment at dark garden. Male Black-naked monarch. Ever-observed at Okinawa Islands before. Almost indigenous species at Taiwan. There is black spots on crest which cannot be seen at this photo. It could be introduced by next opportunity.

Islands have lots of indigenous species like England, Japan, and so on. Black-naped Monarch attracts foreign bird watchers to Taiwan.
